Sagarpare is a non-profit cultural association dedicated to bringing together the Bengali-speaking community in Hamilton and the surrounding region. For more than four decades, our organization has served as a vibrant platform for celebrating the rich traditions, language, arts, and heritage of Bengal while building meaningful connections within the broader multicultural community.

At its heart, Sagarpare represents a bridge between cultures—honoring Bengali traditions while embracing the diversity and multicultural spirit of Canada.

Durga Puja

Durga Puja is Sagarpare’s largest annual celebration, bringing the community together to honor Goddess Durga and celebrate Bengali heritage. The event includes traditional rituals, cultural performances, community gatherings, and delicious festive food. It is a joyful time for reconnecting with culture, strengthening community bonds, and celebrating one of the most cherished festivals of Bengal.

Saraswati Puja

Saraswati Puja is celebrated by Sagarpare to honor Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge, music, learning, and the arts. The event brings together students, families, and community members to participate in prayers, cultural programs, and festive gatherings. It is a meaningful occasion that encourages learning, creativity, and a strong connection to cultural traditions within the community.

Annual Picnic

The Sagarpare Annual Picnic is a summer gathering that brings community members together in a relaxed and friendly outdoor environment. The day features games, cultural activities, music, and a variety of delicious food shared among families and friends. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect, enjoy time together, and strengthen friendships within the community.
